Mission

The overall purpose of the project is the development of 2000 ha of tilling lands located downstream from reserve, to the profit of populations affected by the Kandadji dam project. It is in keeping with the framework of the Kandadji program for the regeneration of ecosystems and development of the Niger valley. The mission includes the design of irrigation, drainage, networks, sanitation, service road networks, protection of hydraulic works and parcels development.

Study for the Hydro-agricultural development of 25 000 ha of irrigated perimeter with full water control, in the hydraulic system of Macina.

Mission

The global objective of the project is the development of 100 000 ha of irrigated perimeters in the hydraulic system of Macina, as well as the construction of related infrastructures. This project will contribute to the economic development of Mali and the development of the region of Ségou in particular. The specific objective of the project is to realize "preliminary studies , engineering design, bidding documents for the hydro-agricultural development works of the 1rst tranche of 25 000 ha in the hydraulic system of Macina, as well as the construction of related infrastructures including urbanization and stock farming"

Mission

In order to contribute to the achievement of food and nutritional self-sufficiency in the whole of Burkina Faso, the Burkinabe Government initiated the hydro-agricultural Project of Bagre, which aims in the long run, the development of 300,000 ha of tillable lands. The study for the development of 2,100 ha falls is in keeping with that purpose and consists of the implementation of basic studies (topography, geotechnics, soil science, agronomy, economic and financial evaluation, and socio-economy). The study also falls into the context of designing the development of the perimeter while taking into account the orientations followed as regards agricultural development, the elaboration of the hydro-agricultural master development plan, as well as hydraulic alternatives of plans, the evaluation of additional infrastructures (various tracks, villages, watersheds and buildings) and the updating of the Project costs; in particular the comparative analysis of various alternatives suggested.

Conservation and Valorization Project of the Gourma Biodiversity and Elephants

Mission

The project is financed by World Bank and the French Funds for Global Environment (FFGE). The project covers 18 boroughs of 3 Regions of Mali (Gao, Tombouctou, Mopti). It concerns a population of 200,000 people. Three significant outcomes are expected from it, namely:

  • Conservation areas are created and the management of their spaces by community Organizations is effective;
  • the capacity to integrate biodiversity dimension in social, economic and cultural development programs of boroughs is improved;
  • Gourma rural districts were organized to better plan and organize space management and living resources.

Maninkoura Integrated Rural Development Project (PAPIM)

Mission

The Maninkoura development project covering 1094 ha irrigated Perimeter (PAPIM) is meant to contribute to the achievement of food safety objective through the development of new installations in Selingue Rural Development Office covered area. Lot 1 is made up of development work over 1094 ha. It relates to the installation of irrigation, sanitation networks, protection dams and the achievement of the Selingue-Maninkoura track (40 km). Lot 2 includes the construction of 4 pumping stations and 5 pump stations and construction of an electric line over 60 km. Lot 3 relates to the completion of the rehabilitation work in the truck farming area of Selingue perimeter (60 ha).

Bagre Integrated Rural development project

Mission

The project relates to the installation of 1725 ha irrigated perimeters, the achievement of a buffer stopping dam and 14 boreholes. It includes the construction of 16 pumping stations, 37 km of rural tracks, 7 water towers, 3 health centres, 6 schools and installation of 20 km electric line.

Integrated Rural Development Project of Telimele (IRDP-Telimele)

Mission

The Integrated Rural Development Project of Telimele, was initiated by the Government of the Republic of Guinea, and is meant to contribute to food safety, reinforce the sustainable management of natural resources, increase the monetary income of producers’ families, open-up production zones, ensure drinkable water supplying, reinforce the structuring of producers and professional organizations of Telimele prefecture. The project components are: installation and development of 675 ha of land for rice production, market gardening and fruit-bearing, the construction of 192 km rural tracks for service road, the achievement of 90 productive boreholes, the achievement of socio-medical infrastructures, an office and housing for Telimele project.

The project consists of the installation of oil products arrival and departure infrastructures, products storage tanks and their retention dikes, pumps and drains, a boiler for the vapour production.
